Is ritual violence punishable abroad?
In March 2011, the four adults received prison sentences of between five and twelve years. According to the court, the 48-year-old cult leader sexually abused children and young people, raped them and sold them to other perpetrators for money for over 30 years.
The cult leader was found guilty of 35 crimes against both boys and girls. The three convicted women, one of whom was his wife, lived with him in a cul-de-sac in Kidwelly, Wales. This is where most of the cult activities took place. In addition to the sexualized acts of violence, the judge also explicitly stated in his verdict that the children had been brainwashed. The convicted men denied cult activities. However, the jury stuck to its opinion that the cult did exist.
In addition, another man was convicted of sexual offenses in the trial, but he is said not to have belonged to the cult group.
