Hyperianism is an online-based New Age movement that critics, investigative journalists, and former members widely label as a dangerous digital cult.

Charismatic and Controlling Leader: Morgue, who has used aliases like Morgen Night and The Night Bringer, relies on his background as a street performer and expert in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to lead the group. Observers note classic high-control group behaviours, including demanding absolute loyalty and framing dissent as ignorance.

Morgue: The founder and leader of Hyperianism goes by the pseudonym “Morgue” (also using names like Morgen Night and The Night Bringer). He previously appeared in sideshow and reality television programming, such as AMC’s Freakshow.

Philosophy: He promotes a syncretic blend of self-published philosophy, alternative mathematics, and fringe science, claiming to offer “timeless knowledge” meant to evolve humanity into a “higher” state.

Ontological Mathematics: Followers claim the universe is fundamentally mathematical rather than physical. They believe reality is made of “monads”—units of mathematical energy—and that existence can be explained through mathematical rationalism rather than traditional religious creationism or standard empirical science.

“Beyond Human”: Followers, often numbering in the hundreds via online spaces—are taught that normal human society is corrupt and that adherents should aspire to become “higher than human” or androgynous world-shapers.

Rejection of Normality: The group heavily rejects mainstream societal norms, encouraging members to completely detach from conventional culture.

Cult Dynamics: Observers and exposé literature (such as books by investigative writers like David G. McAfee) characterize the group as a predatory online cult.

Abuse and Financial Exploitation: Former members have come forward alleging psychological manipulation, targeted online harassment, financial solicitation from vulnerable followers, and punitive control tactics executed by group leadership and administrators.
